Avec une approche assez picturale de la photographie, Antoine Fourreaux cherche avant tout à faire passer à travers de la photographie des émotions et à montrer la beauté qui nous entoure et qui est en nous. Le monde des reflets fait partie de son travail, des images miroirs de la vie qui nous laissent jamais indifférents. Trottoirs humides, silhouettes passantes, et ombres emmêlées bâtissent son univers photographique. Dans ses photos, parfois proches de la peinture mais ceci sans aucun traitement, le décor se déforme, bascule, en tirant le réel vers l’abstraction. L’univers offert à nos regards est celui proche de la rêverie et de l’imaginaire.

Les photographies de Antoine Fourreaux ont été exposés dans des galeries Parisienne, à Troyes, à St Mathurin sur Loire et au Salon Internationale d'Art Contemporain Puls'Art. A propos des photographies de Agnès Audras :

Sensible à la poésie de la nature ainsi qu’aux motifs projetés par la lumière du soleil, la recherche plastique d’Agnès Audras associe contenus graphique et photographique lui permettant de créer des espaces imaginaires, des mises en scène. Elle cultive le vide, les jeux de perspective et de trompe-l’oeil pour introduire une perte de repère visuel, pour donner vie à un sentiment intérieur et suggérer une lecture d’un monde à mi-chemin entre réel et imaginaire.

A propos de Agnès Audras :

Enseignante à l’ENSAD, École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs depuis 2000, Les oeuvres de Agnès Audras ont fait le sujet d'articles dans Le Monde, Air France Magazine et Images Magazine à la Maison Européenne de la Photographie parmi d'autres. Ses œuvres ont été exposées dans les galeries d'art en Corée du Sud, Taïwan et à Paris et dans plusieurs salons d'art contemporain en France. Agnès Audras a également réalisé des commandes d'installation artistique pour la ville d'Issy-les-Moulineaux, à Paris et en Algérie.

Les Nations Unies ont proclamée l'année 2011 « Année Internationale des Forêts » visant à sensibiliser les citoyens du monde entier sur l'importance primordiale des forêts dans l'éco-système global. Afin de célébrer ce manifestation international, Susan Adda ArtWorks propose cette exposition thématique.

Les photographies de François Laboureix nous interpellent: Au delà du plastique, au delà de la nature, découvrez cette vie ressurgie, ce nouveau paysage aux particules hétérogènes, aux particules combinées. Les photos qui détournent la perception, et provoquent un retournement d'esprit...

François Laboureix est professeur de photographie, et d'arts plastiques depuis 1978. À l'Université de Paris I il propose une thèse sur « l'Étude sur les matières plastiques en lumière polarisé »

Depuis 1995 ses œuvres sont exposées dans plusieurs festivals et rencontres internationales de photographie, dans les centres culturels à l'international, et dans des institutions gouvernementales et académiques partout en France.

Mobilographe, nm. personne qui prend des photographies à l’aide d’un téléphone mobile.

Voici une nouvelle définition qui pourrait bientôt faire son entrée dans les dictionnaires. On la doit à Thomas Dudan, jeune artiste de 28 ans, qui s’adonne à un exercice qui pourrait

paraître banal: photographier le quotidien avec un des objets les plus représentatifs de

sa génération, un photo-téléphone portable.

Les mobilographies de Thomas Dudan ont été exposées à Cannes, aux Sony World Photography awards en 2009, au Palais du Tokyo, et dans des galeries à Paris, et Géneve.

Thomas Dudan se libère de toute contrainte pour revenir au medium dans sa plus simple expression, incarnation moderne de l’intiale camera obscura. Avec un objectif de la taille d’une tête d’épingle, il offre un voyage impressioniste et mystérieux au coeurdes villes, entre ombres et lumières. Nous entrons dans un monde fait d’instantanés, où toute notion de dimension devient improbable et où le réel se perd dans d’étranges énigmes. Dans les images de Thomas Dudan, un pavé se donne des allures de banquise, les reflets des façades plongent dans de profonds abîmes et les feux des voitures embrasent les avenues.

On ressent les éléments, les gens. L’eau, le feu, l’air, la terre sont les acteurs de ce kaleïdoscope.

Mobilographe: a photographer who uses a cell phone as the tool of his artistic expresssion.

Thomas Dudan, is a 28 year old artist who lends his talent to a method of expression that at first glance may seem banal, but it is also representational of his generation: He photographs everyday life with a cell phone. Throwing away the constraints of traditional photography, the medium returns to it's origins in the most simplistic expression, the modern incarnation of camera obscura. With a lens the size of the head of a pin, Dudan offers a mysterious, impressionist's voyage between shadow and light and to the heart of his subjects. He takes us to a world of instant, fleeting moments, where notions of dimension become lost in a strange enigma.

Thomas Dudan's Mobilographies have been shown in Cannes at the Sony World Photography awards in 2009, at the Palais de Tokyo and in contemporary art galleries in Paris, and Geneva.

Susan Adda ArtWorks présente «Interventions», une exposition des œuvres d'Arnaud Sabot (Esporu) au restaurant Justine, Hôtel Meridien Montparnasse.

Les œuvres d'Arnaud Sabot porte sur une réflexion théologique sur le médium photographique, utilisé par l'artiste comme instrument d'intervention.

Dans notre monde où l'image est omniprésente, Arnaud Sabot s'y invite et propose un travail éclectique d'interrogations, de sentiments et d'imagination.

Sélectionnées par les salons et foires d'art contemporain renommés comme MAC 2000, l'Affordable Art Fair, Salon de Montrouge, Jeune Talents...entre autres, les œuvres d'Arnaud Sabot ont été exposées dans les galeries parisiennes et au Palais de Tokyo.

Son travail a également gagné un prix de la photographie à Los Angeles.

Arnaud Sabot's art work questions the traditional use of photographic theory and technique. His concept is to engage photography as an instrument of intervention.

As an artist, Sabot introduces himself into our world of pervasive images, and proposes an eclectic body of work – sentimental, introspective, and imaginative.

Arnaud Sabot's art work has been presented in renown contemporary art fairs in France, in art galleries and at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. He has also earned a photography award in Los Angeles.

The Earth Day Roller Coaster Game in Paris with Avatar and a Volcano

Mother Nature doesn't always get with program!

A crazy California girl, raised in the 70's in L.A. (enough said), caught in the Paris art world, I had been searching for a way to bring an Earth Day event to Paris for 2 years. When I found the CleanArt Planet Project in a Paris art gallery in the spring of 2009, I knew that I had found my partners for the adventure: Two Corsicans, Gilles and Charlie ( a designer and a film director) and Thierry, a Parisian photographer in love with the Atlantic coast- Who could ask for a better team?

I had worked with the Westin Hotel Paris in 2007 for the exhibition and

book launch for Sebastian Copeland's "Antarctica- The Global Warning" and it was a great success. Great cocktail, great speeches, music by Didier Lockwood, great results in the international press...

Now a fantastic opportunity was at hand: Earth Day's 40 anniversary in 2010. So, I returned to the Westin armed with an Earth Day celebration project. ..The game was on...

My first setback: The wonderful, motivated, and always enthusiastic Starwood group (Westin) PR girl that I had worked with in 2007 loved my ED40 project proposal, promised to push it, and then, left for another job. My proposal was lost in the cracks in the streets of Paris (and if you know Paris, you know the kind of cracks I'm talking about!)

Although the director of the hotel was keen on the project, my main contact would still be the PR department. Ok, so new players, new rules - I had to start the process all over again. A "rain delay" that lasted almost 9 months. A search for another possible venue, and then the Westin agreed to host the cocktail event, and the exhibition for 3 weeks, but we had to provide the extras with supplimentary sponsorship.

Convincing big French corporations to cough up even a little sponsorship money late in the game and in this economy was a HUGE challenge! The Earth Day Network appreciates that fact that you want to organize an event in their name, but not enough to help you find sponsors. Not to mention all the other organizational hurdles and roadblocks along the way... I speak French and English, but even that was not enough to avoid the various communication breakdowns.

So the ED40 Paris event was thrown to the good graces of the « God of Extreme Last Minute Efforts. »

After dispensing buckets of tireless enthusiasm and energy, our Earth Day 40 celebration in Paris was planned to the last detail, thanks to the unbelievable hustle and bustle of everyone involved. It truly was a great team effort. The CleanArt Guys were fantastic, and sponsors came through at the (very) last minute: Groupe Dassault, Tattinger Champagne, PSAV (who supplied the tech support and plasma screens), print shops, and others.

The event coordinator from the Westin was very professional, my friends at UNESCO Paris were helpful, Tattinger and the printer delivered on time. The director of the hotel was kind enough to thank me in her speech. The French Director of WWF, a rep from the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, CleanArt and UNESCO Paris also came and gave speeches. Forced to fight against my debilitating fear of speaking in public, red in the face and trembling, at the request of CleanArt, even I delivered a small speech.

During the cocktail the art work looked incredibly eclectic displayed in the Napoleon - era Salon Imperial at the Westin. Among painted baroque ceilings, columns and gold, we exhibited photos and collages of colorful beach debris, projected a 3D film and had « sonographics » emitting from recycled objects. Plenty of corporate VIP's showed up and the cocktail went well, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

However once again, the project fell somewhat, through the cracks: Because of all the delays, and despite everyone's efforts, including my own, we were too late for anything but internet press. Contrary to the « Antarctica » project, the sponsors didn't communicate about the event. Even The Earth Day Network's external international communication group, working pro bono from Belgium (of course!), was unable to provide us with press articles.

And then, two days after the cocktail, the super wonderful news, a communication and PR dream and, our saving grace in the last quarter of the game:

The producer of Avatar and my fellow Los Angeleno, Jon Landau was coming to Paris with Fox Home Entertainment to promote the launch of the film Avatar on DVD and Blu-ray for Earth Day 40! Not only to Paris, but because I had brought Earth Day 40 to the Westin, the hotel had been presented with the opportunity to host the press junket! The CleanArt Planet guys, the art work and me, in front of 200 journalists together with Jon Landau!!! WOW!

Ran out to the Champs Elysées with the Thierry and Charlie from CleanArt

to see the film and was overwhelmed to tears. We were going to meet the man who produced this incredible film that expressed so much about how I felt about man-kind and his relationship to nature.

The junket was scheluded for the following tuesday. Major hustle involved to prepare. Late nights, phone calls, ( including a 4 way conference call from the Earth Day Network headquarters in Washington D.C.) e-mails, negotiations, a new press release for the occasion revised 3 times....

AND-

The day before the press junket, it was cancelled. A volcano in Iceland had grounded everyone, including Jon Landau. So no junket, no journalists. No press opps.

Plenty of guts, but no glory.

I have tried to send a letter to Jon Landau, don't know if he got it or read it.

They say that you can't fool Mother Nature, but what happens when you are trying to help her and she still plays you for a fool?

An exhibition from The CleanArt Planet Project to celebrate Earth Day 40 will be shown at the Hotel Westin, 3 rue Castiglione, Paris France, From April 14th to May 10 2010.

A cocktail reception (By invitation only) to launch the exhibition is planned for April 14th, with:

- Live music by "Jeronimo" who creates "sonographics" with recycled materials to recreate musical sounds influenced by nature and the sea
-Speakers from our list of partners - Nicolas Hulot Foundation, WWF,
UNESCO PARIS

A video projection of a 7 minute film about the project shown
during the cocktail.

- An "Arty" newspaper (made of recycled paper)- images, news, CleanArt artists etc, will be distributed to participants

The CleanArt Planet Project was founded by three French artists, a designer,a photographer and a film director: Gilles Cenazandotti, Thierry Ledé, and Charles-Antoine Sansonetti. They work on raising public awareness about the importance of cleaning up the ocean and the seas.

The subject of their photography, collages, and sculpture, is the debris they collect on the sea shore with groups of children. Each piece is unique and endowed with a powerful past.

From man to sea, weathering the storms and the tides, transformed and sent then back again as a reminder of the importance of rebuilding our future.

These objects are the traces of our civilization and the pollution of the sea. They return to the source and force us to question ourselves and our abuse of mother nature. Exhibited as the subject of CleanArt Planet's art work these discards of man project a meaningful statement of existence to each of us.

«PhotoGraphics – Photos avec une âme de peinture»:

Alain Bellone se sert de son appareil photo avec autant de liberté qu'un peintre et son pinceau. Il joue sur la mutation de la réalité pour inventer un nouveau langage photographique, une formulation sensorielle et picturale, métaphorique et onirique. Tout se joue à la prise de vue. Il ne s'agit pas d'infographie et la retouche est quasi exclue de son travail. S'il détourne les règles conventionnelles de la photographie, c'est pour rejoindre les art graphiques et plastiques. Il métamorphose la photo en peinture abstraite ou suggérant une nouvelle figuration. La PhotoGraphics est donc pour Alain Bellone avant tout une poésie de l'image qui veut donner à voir plus qu'a montrer, une invitation à laisser s'épanouir imaginaire au delà de toute conceptualisation artistique.

A l'hotel Méridien Montparnasse, il présentera des oeuvres issues de la série "Pure Light" et des premiers tirages d'un travail réalisé dans le métro Parisien "Human Urban Tracks".

«PhotoGraphics- Photos with a painterly soul»:

Alain Bellone applies the same freedom of expression to photography with his camera as a painter does to a canvas with his brushes. He twists reality and invents a new photographic language, that of pictorial sensuality, fantasy and metaphore. Preparation for the capture of his subject is essential, because Bellone does not use computer generated images and touch-ups are a rarety. If he bends the traditional rules of photography, it is only to acheive a technique more closely related to painting or graphic art. He transforms photography. With PhotoGraphics Alain Bellone proposes a poetic imagery to be seen, more than just shown. An invitation to broaden the imagination beyond artistic concept.

For his exhibition at the Meridien Montparnasse, Alain Bellone will be showing works from the series « Pure Light » as well as some of the first prints from his series «Human Urban Tracks» taken in the Paris Metro.

A propos de l'artiste:

Hélène Desmazières vit et travaille à Paris. Elle commence à photographier en 1999 tout en continuant son travail de galeriste et de conservateur de musée d’art moderne qu’elle exerce sur la scène artistique française et internationale depuis 1984.Elle entreprend une recherche dont le résultat fera apparaître une vision personnelle de la couleur en photographie.

Hélène Desmazières utilise la photographie pour ses qualités plastiques cherchant à allier un langage formel abstrait à une description parfois extrêmement minutieuse du détail.

A propos des oeuvres:

Le mode opératoire est simple: détourner des objets usuels en image picturale, en couleur où le refus de narrativité désoriente le regard du spectateur qui cherche à savoir ce qu’il voit. Les photographies ne sont jamais retouchées pour conserver un chromatisme fidèle à la réalité. Parfois l’image abstraite est démasquée, trahie par son créateur même avec des indices du réel, pour redevenir photographie. À l’image même d’une peinture, les images sont parfois associées en diptyques. La photographe laisse l’image en surface, en redonnant une forme esthétique à l’objet anodin au moyen du cadre, de la chaleur de ses lumières et la texture de ses matières traitées ici comme de la peinture.

Au-delà de la question du sujet, ces photographies se fondent sur la couleur et la matière considérées pour elles-mêmes et sa manière d’attirer, de perturber ou de surprendre la perception.

Catherine Olivier's art work:

Catherine Olivier's fascination for light and shadow play is demonstrated both realistically and figuratively. Her concept, the idea of creating a tangible presence of particules of light to evoke a sense of emotion, is employed to indicate a fleeting reality. Architecture, and human subjects disrupt the flow of the particules, with their inherent energy, creating layers of dimension. An art competition on the « ArtWeen » artists network resulted in the discovery of Catherine Olivier's work by Susan Adda Artworks.

Catherine Olivier graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Art decoratifs de Paris. Her art work has been exhibited in Paris, Brussels, Deauville, Japan, Spain and Brazil. Her interest in the revelation of the attributes of each particule, on an elementary level, and it's inherent abilty to create a conscience sensation of positive or negative space, produces a confrontation of diverse emotions.

Les oeuvres de Catherine Olivier:

Fascination pour la lumière, les jeux d'ombres et de lumière à la fois au sens propre et figuré. L'idée de particules de lumière pour évoquer le fugitif, liées à l'émotion, elles créent l'espace dans la peinture. Usines, entreprises, écoles viennent perturber les particules, l'effet parasite met en relief des choses différentes. Son travail a été « découvert » par Susan Adda ArtWorks grâce au réseau en ligne du monde artistique www.artween.com

A propos de l'artiste:

Catherine Olivier est diplômée de L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Art Décoratifs de Paris. Ses oeuvres ont été exposées à Paris, Bruxelles, et Deauville, mais aussi au Japon, au Brésil et en Espagne. Elle aime révéler les particules de chaque élément dépeint, leurs différentes qualités, leur faculté à attirer l'attention. La sensation d'existence qu'elles apportent engendre un vide transparent, une confrontation entre divers états d'être et états d'âme.

David Law traque depuis plusieurs années le regard des mannequins (de vitrine) sur nos vies contemporaines. Réalisées sans superposition, ses photos jouent des reflets et des lumières pour intégrer la ville. Il cherche à percer le mystère et l’âme de ces belles esseulées, qui comme un miroir de nos propres vies, nous renvoient l’image de ce que nous sommes... La plastique idéale de ces femmes idylliques symbolise le rêve et le luxe d'un monde illusoire plus que parfait…

« Mannequins... »

For many years David Law has kept a watchful eye on store window mannequins. He studies these solitary beauties as a reflection of contemporary life. Through his photos David Law seeks to unravel the mystery of these prototypical women's souls, as they provide him with a mirror of our existence. They cast out an image of our perserverence to engage in an idealology of perfection. For Law, mannequins symbolize illusion, the dream of luxury and the unattainability of a flawless world. As he captures his images, he engages the natural echo of light rebounding from the store windows, providing a projection of city images, and our reality, superimposed upon the ideal.

Following in the footsteps of Robert Delaunay Frank Stella and Fernand Leger,

Jean-Claude Atzori's art work imposes a meditation on the precision of lines, shapes and the use of color. Geometric forms provide the structure and the skeleton on which Atzori applies his imaginative process. Although the image is anchored, the viewer becomes an audience whose imagination is free to roam the canvas and be entertained by the spectacle. Atzori's implementation of series and patterns suggest a musical experience.

Dans les pas de Robert Delaunay, Frank Stella et Fernand Leger, les oeuvres de Jean-Claude Atzori imposent une réflexion

sur la rigueur des lignes, des couleurs et des formes. La géométrie leur apporte une ossature, un squelette sur lequel Atzori fixe son imagination. L'image est fixe, mais l'imagination est libre de courir sur la toile comme

tant d'acteurs qui s'organisent pour monter un spectacle. La sérialité des motifs suggère un environnement musical.
